Lodge Kohler

Our experience at Lodge Kohler was nothing short of wonderful! All of the staff were professional and made it known to us they were there to make our stay enjoyable and they were! In my opinion a stay here is all inclusive in that you really do not need to go anywhere else! As a surprise for my Bride I reserved a suite with the terrace and had a mimosa bar delivered to the room shortly after our arrival! We had dinner at the Tavern in the Sky on the 5th floor and the food there was amazing! Again we were treated to a wonderful staff and a great experience! Definitely worth the drive for us! Thanks again for the wonderful time at the Lodge Kohler!

We are used to Sundara in the Dells and Kohler spa in Kohler, WI, where you stay in the hotel and get access to the spa automatically. We checked into our room, which was nice but nothing special, and went to check out the spa. The person at the front desk of the spa looked at me like I was nuts when I asked if we could check out the spa. She said it was just for “guests” I said we are guests here. She said they need to protect the privacy of the spa guests so we could not go in for a tour. She said there were pictures online we could look at. I said we are guests at the hotel and she said we can’t go in, it’s just for people with services. The hotel and spa are separate businesses. We left and went to the front desk where we asked about it and they said the spa access is not like the other location, here you have to pay $50 a day to access the spa if there is “availability” or if you pay for 2 services you can access the spa. Nowhere on the hotel website did we see anything about this. We were looking forward to a relaxing spa weekend and splurged on our room at the lodge to do that, and it’s a bait and switch. We tried relaxing by the pool, but the pool was very loud with small children splashing around and playing so adults couldn’t really swim. I believe the other Kohler hotel (carriage house) is adults only, which is more relaxing. All in all, you pay through the nose for this hotel but it isn’t worth it. My recommendation: Don’t stay here. Go to Sundara.

We recently spent the night at Lodge Kohler. Here are a few takeaways - The hotel itself was very nice including the decor, 5th-floor bar/restaurant, and lobby. We did not have time to swim, spa, or use the gym so I cannot speak to those. Upon checking in, on a Friday we found the guest services to be understaffed but doing what they could to speed up the process. We were not given any water and were told that since covid they have not provided water bottles which I found odd. The room decor and bathroom are what you would expect from Kohler being comfortable and chic. The bed was less than stellar. I got in and immediately said to my wife that it felt like we were sleeping on a cardboard slab and there was only a sheet and very thin duvet. No other blankets were located in the closet. My wife was about to wear the provided robe to warm up in bed, but since I'm a furnace she survived. All in all it was a pretty good experience. I understand that staffing is still unfortunately an issue but the staff on hand did what they could.

We just spent two nights at Lodge Kohler for the Packers/Lions Thursday Night Football Game - it was outstanding! The hotel is great and perfectly/conveniently located; the staff and service is excellent, food is great, and spa top notch. If you want to catch a Packers game experience but stay nearby and in high style, look no further.
